QAlified, a company that provides testing and quality assurance services for software projects with various technologies, conducted usability tests for Loog Guitars, in order to evaluate the new version of its app and the interaction with the guitars. The challenge was to carry out the tests with a very special audience: children between 8 and 12 years old.

The main axes of the research were to evaluate if the user interface was understood by the children, ease of interaction between the app and the guitar, which tasks were the most difficult and which were the most fun, which games captured their attention the most.

Thanks to these tests, the sections with less visibility were detected, the games and their degree of difficulty were validated, resulting in the suggestion of different design alternatives to reduce the learning curve.

Loog Guitars designs and builds 3-string guitars for children and teenagers between 3 and 14 years old. There are several models and its main objective is to facilitate and make learning fun. Through its application for tablets and cell phones, it allows through games, tools and lessons to motivate children in their learning to learn using their guitar.
