The ICT Table: The Punta Tech and the sector's expectations for 2021

13/01/21

ICTs were a major protagonist last year. Thanks to them, many of the difficulties posed by social distancing at a personal and work level were overcome with video calls, teleworking and distance learning.

In any case, the sector did not escape the economic difficulties to the extent that many of these companies in the sector were dedicated to providing services to other sectors of activity that today are completely unemployed.

For this year that has just begun, the hurdles do not seem to be completely clear. While many countries have begun vaccination, the virus remains a threat to the economy and health systems.

How does the ICT sector stand in the face of so much uncertainty? How to face the difficulties that will apparently continue to exist during this year? Which sectors have a more encouraging outlook?

Some of these questions were on the table yesterday in a new edition of Punta Tech, the first big event of the year in the IT sector. The meeting, which every year serves to weave contacts and detect business opportunities, had to be reformulated this 2021 to comply with health protection measures.

What did this new edition of Punta Tech leave us with? What expectations does the sector have for 2021?
