On Tuesday 14 March, members of the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technology (CUTI) presented their projects and initiatives to promote the ICT sector throughout Uruguay at a hearing with the Congress of Mayors.
The meeting took place at the 22nd edition of ExpoActiva Nacional 2017, held in the department of Soriano. Sylvia González, member of Cuti's Board of Directors, highlighted the importance of reaching the whole country with educational proposals that generate new professionals in the area of ICTs.
Other issues raised were the implementation of activities related to the sector and the presentation of the educational programmes "Jóvenes a Programar" and "Proyecto B_IT", as well as the creation of co-working spaces so that students, entrepreneurs, workers and companies can access places with Internet connection.
