Entrepreneurs, experts in technology, agriculture and business will face the challenge of solving different problems of the agricultural sector through the use of technology during the second edition of the HackathonAGRO competition, which will take place next Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 September at the Rural del Prado, in the framework of Expo Prado 2017.

The activity, organized by the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technology (Cuti), the Rural Association of Uruguay (ARU), the British Embassy and the da Vinci Foundation, will be open to all interested parties, whether they are educational institutions, companies or independent entrepreneurs and will seek, in addition to solving real problems, to promote innovation in the agricultural sector.

The challenge will consist of presenting a business model and a viable product or prototype to different situations posed by institutions related to the activity. The challenges will be announced on Thursday September 7 and Friday September 8 in the previous workshops that the organizers will hold in the Conference Room of the Rural del Prado, which will be mandatory for participants. In this instance, they will have the opportunity to better prepare themselves in topics such as Design Thinking and Pitching.

Once the proposals have been designed, a jury composed of representatives of the organizing entities will evaluate the solutions presented during the competition and will select three winning teams.

Those interested in registering must complete the following form https://goo.gl/F8D74C until Sunday, August 27th.
