La Cámara Uruguaya de Tecnologías de la Información de Uruguay (Cuti) elegirá a su próxima comisión directiva. Y ya hay propuestas: el actual presidente de la cámara, Leonardo Loureiro, presentó su plan de acción para la reelección. «Quiero llevar a la industria a un nuevo estadio», adelantó.

«Nuestro plan es potenciar al ecosistema tecnológico para que vaya a un nuevo estadio de desarrollo, logrando así que brinde oportunidades de crecimiento a todos los actores de la industria. En Cuti podemos ser un activo participante de la transformación del Uruguay, podemos lograr un gran cambio en nuestro país», explicó Loureiro.
Y agregó: «Quiero llevar a la industria a un nuevo estadio, es un objetivo muy desafiante pero con el trabajo de todos, enfocados en temas concretos pero relevantes para la industria, como el Desarrollo Empresarial, la Internacionalización, el Financiamiento, el Talento y la Innovación, seguro vamos a poder lograrlo, quiero trabajar en temas de alto impacto, que realmente muevan la aguja de nuestras exportaciones, para tener una Industria sólida que de trabajo a muchos uruguayos».
Five axes to boost the industry
- Internationalization: The industry has demonstrated its exporting vocation, however we need to work so that more companies work in international markets and those that are already there consolidate and grow at higher rates than the current ones.
- Innovation: Our companies are already working on Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Robotics, Genetics, Virtual Reality, Blockchain, etc., but we see that it is important to establish innovation processes that allow the creation of intellectual property that will allow us to scale in international markets.
- Talent: We are going to consolidate the different projects that we started in the 2016-2018 directive, such as Jóvenes a Programa and B_IT. With these projects underway, we are going to focus on working with academia on programs that allow us to develop new specialties associated with cutting-edge areas of knowledge in order to have more specialists, more masters and more doctors.
- Relations with the Government: As in the main countries of the world, the technology industry must promote and demand the participation of the State in its development. We will continue to work with the government so that among other things, the state is a driving force in the development of innovation, competitiveness, education, in the creation of incentives for the venture capital industry and in the development of instruments to facilitate the incorporation of technology in the rest of the national industry.
- An Industry throughout the territory and with more women: We will continue working to generate development opportunities for all citizens of this country, wherever they are, promoting the installation of work units of our partners in different cities of Uruguay. We will continue to insist on how important it is for our industry that women choose this sector to develop.
