Digital Transformation Meeting

During three days, the most significant issues regarding the digital evolution of Uruguay in this decade and the main challenges for the future will be addressed.

With the slogan "Transformation with equity" a unique meeting is proposed in our country. To this end, prominent national and international speakers were invited, including Toomas Hendrik, former president of Estonia, a country with similar characteristics to Uruguay that has shown a sustained development of the government's digital strategies; Mike Bracken, former director of Digital Government of the United Kingdom, a country where significant progress has been made regarding the digital link between citizens and the State; and Martin Hilbert, initiator of the Digital Agenda for Latin America and the Caribbean.

 

Divided into thematic axes such as digital policy, government transformation, guarantees of rights, generation of trust, innovation for transformation and its incubation; the agenda of the Meeting proposes the following conferences:

 

- 10 years of Digital Policy.

- Transforming government.

- Relating in innovative ways: the new responsibility of governments.

- Data to build policy, policy to build data.

- What is the state doing today for your cybersecurity?

- Identifying ourselves in the digital environment.

- Digital health: transforming health management.

- Spatial data infrastructure of Uruguay

- The challenges of the future.

- The transformation of tomorrow.

- Forum on Access to Public Information.

- Personal Data Protection Forum.

- Forum Public Innovation Labs in Latin America and the Caribbean.

- Workshop on Personal Data Protection.

- Snomed clinical terminology workshop.

- Medicines workshop.

- Organizational transformation workshop.

 

The meeting will be held for three days at the Radisson Victoria Plaza. It begins on August 21 with the forum Public Innovation Labs in Latin America and the Caribbean and the Regional Forum of Government Leaders. On August 22 and 23, the central conference will be held with sessions and, in parallel each day respectively, a forum on Access to Public Information and a forum on Data Protection.
