This initiative will provide a platform for companies and private sector organisations from around the world to propose innovative and practical ideas to stimulate micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to do business across borders. Those companies that come up with successful proposals will be recognised as "ICC/WTO Small Business Champions".

Call for proposals

The CBI and WTO are urging companies and private sector organisations to submit proposals that can help MSMEs participate in international trade. The aim is to raise awareness of the barriers MSMEs face in doing business across borders, highlight the experiences and successes of MSMEs already trading, facilitate access to critical information and improve MSMEs' skills to diversify export markets.

The call is open until the end of 2017, there is no limitation on the number of proposals that can be selected. The selection will be made by the WTO Secretariat and the ICC.
