In the case of information and communication technologies, in our country, only 30% of the staff is female.

Why does this happen? What are the consequences of this imbalance? Do we have to work to reverse this situation? Why? And what should be done?

In today's La Mesa TIC we talked to four women 100% involved in these sectors. They shared their experience, the advantages (and disadvantages) of training, dedicating themselves and developing in these areas of knowledge.

The following people participated in today's ICT Table: Andrea Delgado, Computer Engineer. Master and PhD in Computer Science by Pedeciba, Udelar, and by UCLM, Spain; Marianne Oliveira Mattos, civil engineer, with a master's degree in Management of Technological Companies, manager of Planning and Finance of ICA, member of the board of CUTI since July 2016; Marcela Corbo, systems engineer, with a postgraduate degree in biomedicine, and a master's degree in administration (MBA), director of the Health business area of Genexus Consulting and the product K2BHealth; Sofía Palamarchuk, computer engineer, CEO for the USA of Abstracta, Uruguayan consulting firm in software quality.
