The Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining, the Technological Laboratory of Uruguay (Latu) and Antel will promote innovative projects based on electronics with up to 150,000 pesos per initiative. The first call was launched to both student projects and small companies, who will have access to a two-year program with training, state tools and funding to realize the initiatives.
This first instance summons, on the one hand, advanced students or graduates in careers related to electronics both tertiary and technical and, on the other hand, micro and small companies with up to three years of antiquity dedicated to electronics.
Participants will be able to access a 24-month incubation program whose first year is free of charge and receive up to 150,000 Uruguayan pesos to acquire the necessary inputs for the development of their product or service to be developed.
They will also have access to training and technical support, as well as to the infrastructure and equipment of Antel's equipment center.
Interested parties must present a project that involves the development of a product or service associated with the electronics sector and that is also aimed at generating income. It must have an innovative component and it will be particularly evaluated that the product or service that can be developed is exportable.
Applications will be received until September 30.
