Organized by Ande, ARU, the British Embassy and Cuti, HackathonAgro is an open competition for national teams of researchers, entrepreneurs and experts in information technology, agriculture and business.
In its fourth edition, Hackathon is a horizontal and intensive dynamic where participants complement individual experiences and skills in order to develop concrete solutions. The challenge will be to present a business model and a minimum viable product or prototype, in order to solve agricultural problems in Uruguay through the use of technology. These challenges will be given to the participants for resolution.
Any person over 18 years of age at the time of the start of HackathonAGRO 2019 may participate. The organizing committee will make the selection of participants, taking into account the required profiles, motivations and number of expected participants.
The activity has no costs for participants and the first prize consists of a week in London with attendance to an AgriTech conference and visits to universities.
