TestingUy 2019, the sixth edition of the most important conference on Testing and Software Quality in Uruguay and the region, will take place on May 13 and 14. Once again this year this meeting is completely free for attendees, thanks to the companies that support the initiative.
The event will be held at ANTEL's Telecommunications Tower. On Monday 13 there will be 13 training workshops on different topics, and on Tuesday 14 there will be 17 talks in two rooms simultaneously.
This meeting offers the possibility of acquiring new knowledge for people who are interested in entering the sector, as well as advanced activities to continue with the professionalization for those who are already working in the industry.
Among the topics that will be covered are: Test Automation, Performance Testing, Usability and Accessibility, Artificial Intelligence, as well as different topics that allow the development of "soft" skills that are increasingly needed in the IT industry.
In this edition we will have the participation of Janet Gregory and Lisa Crispin as special guests, both world referents of Testing and Agile Methodologies, international speakers and authors of several books on the subject. During this edition we will also have the presence of Melissa Eaden, editor of Ministry of Testing, an English testing community with a strong presence in the area of Software Testing. At the end of the day on Monday, they will be the protagonists of a round table on software testing and agile methodologies, which will take place from 17:00 hours.
To define the content of the event's agenda, an open call for proposals for talks and workshops was made, where more than 70 proposals were submitted. Given the number of proposals received and to give more options of topics to the participants, the TestingUy team made the effort to include for the first time two tracks of simultaneous talks. As part of the meeting will be participating top level speakers from Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Ecuador, United States and Peru.

The meeting is organized by Eng. Claudia Badell, Eng. Guillermo Skrilec (GeneXus Consulting - QAlified) and Eng. Gustavo Guimerans (Software Test Center - CES) together with a team of 12 collaborators.
