Attention Developers, programmers, designers, etc. in Salto and Concordia, and all those who dare to travel from June 21 to 23 to that department, as IBM Uruguay along with Norte Tecnológico de Salto, will be conducting a Hackathon to develop proposals to help mitigate natural disasters in that area and the world.
The global winners of the challenge will receive U$S 200,000 and being open source will also have the support of Linux Foundation and IBM and the opportunity to present the solution to different investors around the world.
Although in Call for Code only one project will be chosen worldwide, IBM Uruguay will take into account projects of local interest with support for solutions that are interesting and that work with analytics, artificial intelligence, internet of things, blockchange to take advantage of, produce and combine new solutions.
Requirements
The only requirement to participate is to be over 18 years old and have a good idea taking advantage of the available resources that must be presented in a video of 3 in English.
Ultimately, the winner of the first Call for Code Global Prize will be announced in October at a gala benefit. The winning solution will then be moved from the lab to the real world through Corporate Service Corps to apply its solution, with the help of IBM experts, to benefit a local entity.
The event will be held from June 21 to 23 at the Salto Grande Dam from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.
