At Búsquedas IT we always try to analyze and think about improving our practices. Not only do we do IT Recruiting and Consulting, but we are also interested in contributing to the sector by providing quality information that is useful to understand the labor market. So this year, we came up with the idea of creating an IT Search Position Ranking Report.
In this opportunity, we provide in this brief report, the data established in the Second Quarter (April - June 2020). Throughout the quarter, 74% of our total searches were concentrated in Software Developer roles. Of this percentage, 53% were Full Stack Developers, 35% Backend Developer, 6% Frontend Developer and another 6% Mobile Developers. Also, breaking down the remaining 26%, we have that 18% of our selections concentrated on Management/Leadership positions, 4% QA profiles and another 4% positions linked to Networks.
- Most demanded technologies:
The main technology that our clients have demanded from us for both Full Stack and Backend Developer profiles is Javascript. As for Backend technologies, the most demanded this second quarter were: PHP and Java.
To a lesser extent we are looking for Developers with experience in: .NET, Genexus and frameworks such as Angular, React and Vue JS.
In conclusion, we can see that compared to the previous quarter the number of Development positions has increased (in the first quarter 57.3% of the searches we carried out were for Programmers vs 74% this second quarter). On the other hand, Javascript and Java remain in the Top 3 most demanded technologies by our clients.
