Guardium and QRadar
Complementarily, like so many other security solutions, Guardium can be integrated with QRadar, another highly rated IBM tool. The two tools can work together in a bi-directional information flow so that Guardium's data protection policies are updated automatically and in near real-time in response to QRadar security intelligence events.
IBM QRadar is a security intelligence tool that provides threat protection by monitoring events and security information, using customizable rules to detect anomalies, as well as providing tools for vulnerability management and forensic analysis of incidents.
Working in an integrated fashion, Guardium can leverage the QRTrigger infrastructure to trigger actions in response to security events originating in QRadar. Based on configuration settings, QRadar events will cause new members to be added to Guardium groups based on the information contained in the event itself. In addition, the Guardium policy associated with the group is automatically reinstalled so that the membership change takes effect immediately.
