On Thursday 6 October 2016 at Oliva Hotel Luxury in Montevideo, Oracle and Tilsor welcomed leading companies from different industries to the largest Oracle solutions event in Uruguay.
The "Oracle Talk Today" was presented in Montevideo with the objective of making known the new trends and strategies that lead the processes of innovation and change in companies.
Carlos Stella, Senior Manager (Oracle Alliances & Channels APUB) presented: Oracle Today, connecting people and business with information, as a driving source of change. He also emphasized the importance of the cloud where companies can give more productivity, savings and innovation to their business through the use of simpler, more secure and scalable applications.
One of the novelties of this event was the division by themes, where spaces were dedicated to specific areas and topics so that attendees could learn about the latest in business technology in different sectors (finance, technology, marketing, sales and human resources) oriented to the needs of today's organisations, transforming a product event into a real business meeting.
The focus of the event was on how to provide value to the business areas with the best solutions that adapt to their specific needs, according to functional area or IT sector.
Digital Transformation
Omar Vigetti, Oracle Presales & Architecture Director, conveyed the importance of digital transformation and its impact on companies", showing the factors that drive this transformation and how companies should prepare themselves. Knowing the drivers of this transformation (Omnichannel, Big Data, Mobile & Social) and how Oracle, with its complete offer at Iaas, Paas & Saas level, helps organisations to close the gap and offer their customers the experience they are looking for.
Solutions that Simplify
Diego Sanchez, Oracle Technology Architect, gave an introduction to Oracle's portfolio in the cloud, from a simple storage or IaaS to a complete ERP, including databases, MW, Big Data, etc. Among other topics, he presented the advantages of having credits to be able to create things in a very flexible and fast way in the cloud with concrete examples of backups, databases and prototypes in the cloud, testing new functionalities and then incorporating them into on-premise projects.
Improving the customer experience
Lucas Rousseau (Sales Manager CX) and Mariana Olavarria, both experts in Customer Experience, spoke about the need to meet the expectations of the new customer in the multiple digital channels: social networks, web, chat, email, sms, news through different information access devices and mobiles. In such a way to cover the full cycle of the modern customer experience in Multichannel Digital Marketing, Modern Sales, Configuration, Pricing, Quoting and Online Trading, Social Media Relationship, Multichannel Customer Service, and Real-time Field Service Optimisation.
Next Generation Oracle ERP/SCM/EPM Cloud Applications
The Oracle ERP team, led by Fabián La Rocca and Cecilia Vivacqua, presented back office solutions in the cloud, improvements in purchasing management, logistics, warehousing, financial planning and other topics.
Modern Management with HCM in the cloud
This space specially created for the Human Resources module counted with the presence of Sergio Paparelo Sales and Ariel Martínez Di Vietri, Oracle Executives focused on selling business solutions for Human Resources, who debated with the clients present about the best HR practices and how technology leverages them. They also shared experiences on how the digital transformation has impacted both the role of HR and the main processes of the area, such as: Talent Management, Compensation Management, Performance Management and Recruitment and Selection among the main ones.
At the event attended by more than eighty attendees, Oracle demonstrated that it has a complete portfolio of enterprise solutions that fit the specific business objectives of any type of organisation, from the smallest to the largest organisations have the opportunity to implement the same solutions and grow, always taking into account their business strategy.
